Join our Eclipse Watch Party on Monday, April 8 on the Dundee Library front lawn. A partial solar eclipse will occur between 12:50 p.m. and 3:22 p.m., with maximum coverage happening at 2:07 p.m. To safely view the event, pick up a pair of Eclipse Glasses while supplies last or bring a pinhole projector.
We will livestream NASA's coverage in English and Spanish and have crafts and activities available throughout the day.
A solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves between the earth and the sun, blocking some or all of the sun. We will be able to see a partial eclipse of 93% in this area.
Eclipse glasses are provided thanks to the STAR Net Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries (SEAL) program.
