In-person
In-person voter registration is available at Dundee and Randall Oaks on a limited basis. Please call 847-428-3661 to confirm a deputy registrar will be available at the time of your visit.
Online

After you have reviewed your application and click “Finish,” the information you provided is matched with information provided by the Illinois Secretary of State’s office. The results of that matching process are forwarded to the appropriate local election authority for processing and notification of the results to the applicant.

By law (10ILCS 5/1A-16.5) the local election authority must notify the applicant of the status of their application within 48 hours (2 business days). Furthermore, once an application has been verified and accepted, the election authority must mail the applicant their voter information card within 5 business days of verification.

If you provided an email address with your application, you will receive an email letting you know if your application has been accepted or rejected and the reason(s) for any rejection. Furthermore, election authorities will also send out notifications via the U.S. Postal Service.
If you haven’t updated your driver’s license or state issue ID with the Illinois Secretary of State’s office and the Social Security Administration, then your application will be rejected. We advise you to make these changes prior to using the online application platform.
If all your information is up to date and accurate, then there is no need to supply any supporting documentary evidence of identity and residence.
