1619 Project Community Discussion

The 1619 Project is a long-form journalism project developed by Nikole Hannah Jones, writers from The New York Times, and The New York Times Magazine which "aims to reframe the country's history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of Black Americans at the very center of the United States' national narrative." The Fox River Valley Public Library District is hosting a three-part community discussion of the 1619 Project at the Dundee Library on the first Wednesday of each month. Refreshments will be served. Registration is encouraged, but not required.

This discussion will focus on pages 44 - 79 of the August 18, 2019, issue of The New York Times Magazine.
