Kick Black History Month off right with some edu-crafting! Registrants will get an overview of the significance of black hair in America through this bookish, hands-on project.
Craft kit includes: materials for a mixed media bookmark and an instruction booklet with bite-sized lessons covering the history of black hair. You'll learn about its the political, cultural, and social history, and the evolution of modern haircare with a helpful glossary of terms. For the eager learner, a list of book recommendations and resources will also be included.
