Event Details

Indulge in sweet treats and learn about different cultures through poetry! Participants will sample pastries from four different countries, read and discuss poems by international poets, and write a poem of their own.

Stavroula Harissis is a multilingual poet and librarian with a passion for international travel. Her poetry has been published in the Journal of Ordinary Thought and featured on WBEZ Chicago. She has been working in public libraries since 2016 and is currently the South Branch Manager at the Mount Prospect Public Library.

Note: Pastries are likely to contain wheat, milk, nuts, and other potential allergens.
