Summer Reading Kick-Off Party

Event Details

It's back! All are invited to return to the Dundee Library's Front Lawn to kick off our summer reading challenge. Pack up your chairs, blankets, snacks and drinks and spread out with other library lovers as we relax and enjoy entertainment for all ages.

Highlights include:

  • Musical guests The Throwbacks will play "brand new oldies" from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.
  • The Bubble Bus will park itself here at the library to "spread joy and bubbles" to people of all ages from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.
  • Duke's Blues-N-BBQ of East Dundee will be serving up a sample of Southern barbeque at its finest.
  • Sign up for the summer reading challenge and receive your "Oceans of Possibilities" limited edition beach bag.
  • Visit with some of our VIP tables like Illinois State Representative Suzanne Ness, Elder & Oat Bread and Coffee Collective, and Alianza Hispanoamericana, a non-profit organization that specializes in immigration help.

In the event of inclement weather, the party will be held indoors at the Dundee Library.
