Event Details

Pack up your blanket, chairs, and a picnic supper and join us for an out-of-this-world picnic to kick off our "A Universe of Stories" summer reading challenge! This year, you'll be entertained by punky rock'n'roll for kids from ScribbleMonster. As is tradition, we'll have crafts, popcorn, lemonade, prizes, and a book basket raffle. New this year will be a summer reading sponsor fair, where you can learn more about this year's generous donors. There may even be a few special guests. Then don't forget a handful of quarters as our Friends of the Library will be holding a Children's Book Sale from 5 to 8:30 p.m. where all books will be just 25 cents. Make sure you're signed up for the summer reading challenge before you leave. We have more fun activities planned for this summer than ever before!
