Banned Book Club

The freedom to read whatever a person chooses is one the library firmly believes in. You’ve probably heard plenty of stories in the last couple of years about books being banned and challenged all over the country, sometimes even in neighboring communities. The Banned Book Club is an opportunity to discover some of those books for yourself in order to understand the controversies and a time to discuss difficult topics.

This month we'll be reading All Boys Aren’t Blue by George M. Johnson. In a series of personal essays, prominent journalist and LGBTQIA+ activist George M. Johnson explores his childhood, adolescence, and college years in New Jersey and Virginia.
